
Course Overview
Tactical Pistol 1 is the entry level of Frisk Firearms Training pistol courses.
This course combines the fundamentals skills necessary for combat
marksmanship with the tactical knowledge required to survive with a pistol in
a hostile environment. Emphasis is placed on basic shooting skills and
developing tactical applications for those skills. Topics will include:

Fundamentals of marksmanship

Grip and stances

Pistol presentation and firing techniques from a holster

Reloading

Clearing Malfunctions

During this course, students will learn weapon safety and handling, grip and stance, pistol presentation and firing from a holster, pistol marksmanship principles, handgun drills, reloading and clearing malfunctions, and beginning movement. This class is best suited for a one-on-one or small group to permit individual instruction. Students will be required to pass a shooting qualification to successfully complete the course and move on to Tactical Pistol 2.


Required Gear

Handgun (Semi-auto or revolver)

A suitable strong side OWB holster or thigh rig. (Holsters must provide retention so firearms don’t fall out.)

Minimum of 3 HI Cap magazines or speed loaders.

Magazine Holders / Pouch to hold all Magazines.

100 rounds of ammunition

Ear protection and wrap around eye protection.

Long pants with belt loops and a sturdy belt. No yoga pants.

Lightweight clothing and light color, avoid black. (no tank tops)

Closed toe shoes
-
Spare batteries for sights and tools for sight adjustment

Ball cap or brimmed hat

Sunscreen
-
Insect repellent
-
Snacks
-
Water to stay hydrated
-
Weapons and ammunition can be supplied by FFT upon request.
